Cookie policy

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. This policy explains which ones our independent information site about WinMega uses, what they do and how you can change your mind about them at any time.
The short version: we use what is needed to run the site, to understand what is read and to attribute commercial links correctly. Nothing more exotic than that lives in your browser because of us.

How updates to this policy are announced

A dated page

Every version carries a visible date, so a returning reader can see immediately whether the policy has changed since the last visit.

Material changes

When a change alters how cookies are used, we announce it in the policy text before the new practice begins. Small wording fixes that change nothing in practice are simply folded into the next dated version.

The types of cookies we use

  • Essential cookies, which keep the site working: load balancing, security and remembering your consent choice itself.
  • Analytics cookies, which tell us which pages are read and how visitors move through the guide.
  • Preference cookies, which remember choices such as a language or display setting.
  • Affiliate cookies, which record when a reader arrives at the casino through one of our commercial links, so the referral is attributed correctly.

What cookies are, in three sentences

  • A cookie is a small text file stored by the browser, not a program and not able to run anything by itself.
  • First-party cookies come from the site you are visiting; third-party cookies come from services the site uses.
  • Cookies have a lifetime: some expire when the browser closes, others stay until a set date or until you delete them.

Consent and changing your choice later

The first visit

On your first visit we ask which cookie categories you accept. Essential cookies run regardless, because the site cannot work without them.

Changing a choice

You can withdraw or change consent at any time through the cookie settings on our pages. The new choice applies from that moment and does not require an account or a message to us, and it can be changed again whenever you like.

Managing cookies in your browser

Deleting cookies

Every common browser lets you delete stored cookies through its privacy or history settings. Deleting them signs you out of preferences and resets the consent choice.

Blocking cookies

Browsers can also block some or all cookies. Blocking essential cookies may keep parts of the site from working; blocking analytics or affiliate cookies only changes what is measured or attributed.

Device by device

Cookie choices live in the browser, not with us, so a choice made on a laptop does not follow you to a phone. Set the choice once per device.
