How our WinMega guide handles reader data
This policy explains what our independent information site about WinMega collects when you read our pages or write to us, why we collect it and how long it stays with us. It covers our site only; the casino has its own policy for player accounts, and the two never mix.
We keep the amount of data small on principle. A guide about casinos does not need much from its readers, and what it does need is described here in plain words rather than legal shorthand.
What we may collect
- Contact messages you send us through our form, including the name and email address you type into it.
- Technical data that any website sees: IP address, browser type, device identifiers, pages viewed, the referring address and timestamps.
- Analytics that tell us which pages are read and how readers move through them.
How changes to this policy are announced
A dated page
Every version of this policy carries a visible date, so a reader can tell at a glance whether anything has changed since their last visit.
Material changes
When a change affects how data is used, we announce it in the policy text before the new practice starts, not after.
How long information is kept
| Data | Kept for | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Server and security logs | Up to 12 months | Security, abuse prevention and analytics |
| Contact submissions | Up to 24 months | Replying, follow-up questions and correction history |
| Analytics aggregates | Indefinitely, without identifying detail | Long-term reading statistics |
Your rights over your data
- Access: you may ask what we hold about you.
- Rectification: you may ask us to correct what is wrong.
- Erasure: you may ask us to delete what we hold.
- Restriction, portability and objection: you may ask us to limit use, to hand your data over or to stop a particular use.
- Every request goes through our contact form; no special procedure is needed, and we answer in the same language you wrote to us.
How we use information, purpose by purpose
Contact messages are used to answer you and, when they point out an error, to correct the page they concern. Technical data serves security, analytics and fraud prevention, and it may be processed by the hosting, analytics and affiliate providers that keep a site like ours running. Some links in our guides may be commercial links, and the data handling around them follows this same policy.
Reader data is never sold, and your message history serves the reply and the improvement of the page it concerned — nothing more. When a provider changes, the purpose stays the same: running and improving the site. Questions about any of this are welcome through our contact form.
